Ashtanga. Often thought to be intimidating, rigid, unwelcoming, and inaccessible.
In this 5-week series, co-teachers Joyce San Pedro and Amy Reed will dispel the myths and address any fears and concerns about practicing Ashtanga. They'll introduce the practice in a friendly and approachable format - appropriate for ALL bodies and ALL levels of experience. Each class will build upon the week before, as students learn and apply the Tristana method of breath, focus, and posture as we explore the Primary Series. At the end of the series, students will have a foundation in Ashtanga that can be the basis of a home practice, as well as the confidence and comfort to step into a Mysore or Led class
