Ayurveda is the ancient healing science of India and sister science to Yoga. Based on a five elemental theory, Ayurveda works on creating balance through diet and lifestyle. It considers each person a unique combination of the five elements and gives lifestyle tools accordingly. Come learn about your dosha and Ayurvedic self care techniques. Explore the link between Ayurveda and Yoga and how we can use Yoga therapeutically to heal imbalances.

Ami Jayaprada Hirschstein, AHC, C-IAYT, is a certified Ayurveda Health Counselor and Yoga Therapist. Ami has been practicing the healing arts since 1995. Her approach is holistic, combing the “Sister Sciences” of Ayurveda with Therapeutic Yoga. Ami teaches Ayurvedic workshops and sees private clients throughout the Hudson Valley. In her yoga classes Ami pioneered Yoga Therapy in the Mid-Hudson Valley and has trained many teachers in these methods.
